Will the reliability of my electricity be affected if I change providers?
No. You electricity will is delivered by your local "wires" company. If you have an outage it is your local wires company who will respond. This company is the same no matter which Retail Electric Provider (REP) you use.
Does the Letter of Authorization (LOA), or Easyforms, obligate me in any way?
No. There is no obligation and no cost for signing the Easyforms. The LOA is an industry standard document which allows us to obtain your recent electricity usage history from your local wires company and gather other information needed by our providers in order to obtain competitive bids for your account.
How much do you charge for your services?
Our fees are paid by the electric company you choose at a rate that is generally equal to or less than the rate they pay their in-house sales team.We strictly follow the bylaws of the Texas Electricity Professionals Association (TEPA) which state that commissions can be no more than 5 mils ($0.005/kWh).With this being our max, we will lower the commission rate in order to ensure you are still getting the most competitive rate available.Unlike other brokers, our fee is the same for every provider, making our recommendations completely unbiased.
Are there "hidden" fees charged by electric companies?
We have negotiated each contract from each of Our Providers in order to for you to get an apples-to-apples comparison and to also ensure each product includes the charges it should and leaves out the extra fees it shouldn’t.When we present you with our different offers, we clearly explain all fees and provide an overall cost savings comparison to your previous usage history and current rate structure.
